The Project

Red Sky Landscapes approached us in early 2013 as a recently formed professional landscaping company.

Although they had over 20 years of experience in the industry, as a new company they had no brand or promotional material to speak of, and urgently needed to get their brand style established and out into the market.

One element of their brief was that the new brand colours and logo should not comprise of 'obvious imagery' relating to their industry i.e. green or brown colours, trees, flowers etc, but must somehow still represent their association with plant-life.

The new brand must also be transposed not only across all their planned marketing material such as business stationery, flyers, adverts and the website, but also the vehicle livery.

The new logo element was hand drawn and the typography used within the company name is unique to Red Sky. The colours used within the brand still touch on plant-life colours, but with a more richer autumnal spectrum than the obvious greens and brown they so wanted to avoid.

Their new website utilises 'responsive design' technology so it will re-size, not scale, according to how the site is being viewed, with different aspects visible on a PC monitor, a tablet, an iPhone or a smart phone.

The new brand has been very well received by their team and their customers, and on occasion they have actually won contracts based on their professional brand and website, something the director Richard Penfold was delighted with.
